Gatherer out of memory: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

Description

This error occurs when the gatherer runs out of memory.

Error message

Displayed in a gatherer log file. see Funnelback logs reference (the log file name varies depending on the data source type).

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

Cause

The gatherer ran out of memory.

Resolution

  1. Increase the allocated memory by setting/increasing the gather.max_heap_size data source configuration option. (Default is 640MB)

  2. Start a new update
