trim.web_server_work_path

Background

Location of the temporary folder used by HP Records Manager / TRIM to extract binary files.

This location is usually controlled by the HP Records Manager / TRIM client or by a registry setting and defaults to C:\HPTRIM\WebServerWorkPath\. However, Funnelback can override this setting during the crawl to use another location.

Setting the key

Set this configuration key in the search package or data source configuration.

Use the configuration key editor to add or edit the trim.web_server_work_path key, and set the value. This can be set to any valid String value.

Default value

There’s no default value, the location used is controlled by the HP Records Manager / TRIM client (Usually C:\HPTRIM\WebServerWorkPath\)

Examples

Use D:\TrimTemp as the temporary folder:

trim.web_server_work_path=D:\TrimTemp

Notes

  • This folder usually grows quite large during long crawls as HP Records Manager / TRIM extracts every binary attachment for Funnelback to index. This key only applies to the Windows version of Funnelback
