Restoring an asset from the trash

If you have accidentally trashed an asset, you can recover it by moving it out of the trash.

Expand the Trash asset in the asset tree; your asset will be located in the trash, providing it is not already purged from the system.

How to restore an asset from the trash

This procedure only works if a system administrator has not purged the trash before you restore your trashed asset. If you trash an asset accidentally, act quickly to restore it.

  1. Expand the Trash asset in the asset tree.

  2. Locate the trashed asset (and its children) in the Trash asset tree.

  3. Restore the asset by dragging and dropping the asset back to its original location.

You can also use Move to restore your asset from the trash. This option may be more convenient over dragging and dropping if your asset tree is large.
