Trashing and purging assets
The Trash asset stores all of the assets that Matrix users have marked for deletion from the system. It is located at the top of the asset tree.
Trash functionality works much like the Trash feature in most operating systems. Assets moved into the trash are not deleted immediately but remain in the system until a system administrator decides to clear the trash.
To view the assets that are in the trash, expand the Trash asset in the asset tree.
Remove an asset from the asset tree shows you how to send assets to the trash.
Once an asset is in the trash, you can follow Restoring an asset from the trash to restore it to its original location in the asset tree.
If you are a system administrator, you can follow Purging the trash to clear out all assets stored in the trash. Or, if you prefer, you can follow Scheduling a trash purge to create a recurring job to manage assets moved to the Trash asset.
