About audits in Content Health
The audit process is designed to assess content for specific issues in relation to accessibility and AI readiness.
An audit checks your web pages to:
-
Work out what your content is about by tagging it and grouping it into topics.
-
Discover accessibility issues.
-
Report and suggest AI readiness actions once a topic is actively being monitored.
When is an audit started?
The three specific points that initiate an audit process are:
- When the initial URL is added
-
This scan identifies AI readiness topics and audits every page for accessibility. The process:
-
Kicks off automatically when you Add a site to the Content Intelligence dashboard.
-
Automatically determines what the topic areas on your website are by tagging your content.
-
Runs an accessibility audit on all your content.
-
- When a topic is monitored
-
This is a deep scan, which audits every page associated with the topic for AI readiness.
-
This happens when you choose to Monitor a topic area.
-
The deep scan performs an AI readiness audit specifically on the content associated with that topic.
-
- When a scheduled rescan date occurs
-
A scheduled rescan audits new or changed pages for accessibility and AI readiness.
-
The rescan only reviews new or changed pages since the most recent scan.
-
A complete accessibility audit is performed on every new or changed page.
-
An AI readiness audit is only conducted if the added or changed page is associated with a topic that is actively being monitored.
-
If all topics on a site are being monitored, then all new and changed pages are subject to accessibility and AI readiness audits.
