Add a site to the Content Intelligence dashboard
To get insights about a website you need to first add the website to the Content Intelligence dashboard.
These steps describe the first-run experience of adding a website to your Content Intelligence Dashboard.
Steps
-
Click Content Health on the Content Intelligence dashboard
-
Click Setup initial scan to start the Site Scan wizard.
-
Copy and paste the URL of the site you want to monitor into the Domain field.
To prevent typing mistakes that can lead to auditing errors, copying and pasting (instead of typing) the URL at the top-most level from which you want the audit to begin is recommended.
-
If you want to exclude part of your website from being scanned, copy and paste the child page URL into the Excluded paths field.
The top level domain is already set for you based on the Domain field, so only provide the sub-page segments. -
Click Next.
-
Name the site scope you added using the Name field.
The name you choose here will appear in the list of sites on the Content Intelligence dashboard -
Click Next.
-
Use the Scan frequency options to select when your content health metrics are updated.
More frequent scans will consume your audit credit allowance faster, with the trade-off being less waiting between making a change and observing the result in content health metrics.
-
Click Next.
-
Review the choices you made in the Site Scan wizard and click Begin Scan to add your site.
Next steps
Every time you add a site to Content Intelligence, either the initial scan of your first site or any additional sites you add using the Create site option will be shown on the dashboard.
The time it takes to complete the site scan depends on the number of pages and the complexity of those pages.
If you are an Owner you can track your audit credit usage on the Subscription page.
Select the site name to return to the Content Health dashboard for that site.
