Component templates

Component templates are templates. A component template is applied to a site asset (a page, for example). In this context, pages are called component assets.

Page Builder Core components are components - discrete packages of code, HTML, and CSS which provide specific functionality. Components are added to a page to provide that functionality on that page.

Component templates are not supported on Content Pages. Core components are.

Page Builder Core components offer a comprehensive list of commonly used components and styling instructions are availble to assist with incorporating them.

The DXP Component Library provides a library of simple components built on Component Service technology and demonstrates how to create components using basic technologies
