Snippets
Snippets are not supported on Content Pages.
A Snippet is a reusable piece of content (a bodycopy DIV) that can be selected from a list within a page, allowing for centralized management and easy updates across multiple pages.
A Snippet’s availability is determined by a specified root node in the system. This node governs access to specific sets of DIVs, enabling users to define their own snippet libraries through individual user group preferences.
While a snippet asset can be added to a Standard Page, they are most effectively accessed using Keyword replacements to call in the required content.
As discussed above, Keywords are not available in Page Builder, thus removing a large part of the functionality and ease-of-use for Snippet components.
A workaround is to create a component with a fixed HTML payload that contains the required content.
These payload components can be assigned to a descriptively-named component group and then applied to the asset tree nodes that need access to them.
A content author can then select the correct snippet component and add that as needed to their Content Page.
