Update your user profile

Organisations can choose to customise the Staff Profile to suit requirements, which means that your staff profile will be suited to you and your organisation’s needs. Some fields will be editable and some will be pulled in from data supplied by your organisation.

If you can see that your profile or a colleague’s profile have incorrect information in fields that aren’t editable, you can contact your organisation’s Squiz Workplace administrators. An easy way to do this is through the Feedback form available from every page.

Overview

Staff profiles are a handy way to find out about the people you work with and provide up-to-date information about yourself and your role in the organisation. Organisations can choose to customise the Staff Profile to suit requirements, which means that your staff profile will be suited to you and your organisation’s needs.

From your own staff profile you can:

  • edit certain profile details (such as your avatar image),

  • see the latest social activity in your 'What’s happening' feed,

  • click on any of the avatars of the people you are following, so that you’re taken to their profile page, and

  • click on any of the communities you’re are following, so that you’re taken to the community.

When viewing your colleagues' staff profiles you can:

  • get in touch using their contact information,

  • see their web presence status, if a messaging platform (such as Skype) is integrated for your organisation’s Squiz Workplace. The different web presence statuses are as follows—

    • Online ( Online )

    • Offline ( Offline )

    • Busy ( Busy )

    • Do Not Disturb ( Busy )

    • Idle ( Idle )

    • Be Right Back ( Be right back )

    • Away ( Be right back )

    • Unknown ( Unknown )

  • find out what their Squiz Workplace user handle is (e.g @sfieldsinclair)

  • view all of the available information and learn more about them (such as their responsibilities, who they are following and which communities they are a part of),

  • 'favourite' their staff profile, or

  • 'follow' or 'unfollow' them.

We touch on staff profiles in the Finding people and information section of this guide, if you’re looking for a bit more detail.
