If Spark cannot build a page, it shows the We encountered an error screen with a short description of the problem. This page explains the messages and what to do next.
Read the error screen
The error screen contains the following:
- A subtitle that names the kind of failure, such as Timed out or Generation failed.
- A message that describes the problem.
- A Trace ID, when one is available. Include the Trace ID when you contact Squiz Support, because it helps Squiz find your request.
- One or more buttons. Select Try again to submit the same brief again, Go back to return to the previous screen, or Edit brief to change the brief.
Spark shows Try again only for problems that are likely to be temporary, such as a network problem or a timeout.
Messages and fixes
The following table lists the messages that Spark can show, and what to do.

For these, select Try again if it is available, and otherwise simplify the brief or choose a different location or template. If the problem continues, contact Squiz Support with the Trace ID.
Credit messages
Before Spark starts a page, it checks your credits. If a build fails because your credits ran out, Spark shows the Spark credits limit reached message. See Manage Spark credits.
Your connection ended during a build
If your connection ends while Spark builds a page, the error screen shows Connect. Select Connect and sign in again. See Open Spark and connect.
Spark takes longer than expected
Pages with many sections, images, or files can take longer to build. When a build takes longer than usual, Spark shows Your build is taking a little longer than normal. This can happen with complicated pages. You can close the panel and return later.
