How to connect to Spark

Spark connects to the Squiz DXP AI platform before it creates pages.

If you are already signed in to Squiz DXP in the same browser, Spark can connect without extra steps.

Otherwise, Spark shows a Connect screen the first time you open it.

Before you start

  • Check that Spark is activated. Read Turn spark on and off for more information about this topic.
  • Check that your Squiz DXP user account is permitted to use Spark. Read Control who can use Spark for more information about this topic.

Steps

To connect to a Spark session:

  1. Click Connect to sign in.
  2. Sign in with your Squiz DXP account.
  3. The window closes when you finish.
  4. Spark continues and keeps you connected for a limited time.

If your browser blocks the sign-in window:

  1. Allow pop-ups for Squiz Content Management.
  2. Select Connect again.

When your connection ends, Spark prompts you to reconnect.

If the connection fails, Spark shows an error indicating the condition.

Select Try again to re-establish the connection.

Panel controls

The top of the Spark panel contains the following controls:

  • The back arrow returns to the previous screen.
  • The menu button opens the wizard menu, which contains Start again. The menu appears while you choose a location, choose a template, write a brief, or review your brief.
  • The close button hides the panel. Closing the panel does not stop a page that is being built.

Next steps
