Using Spark
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| What can Spark create? |
Spark creates one new page for each request, from a brief and optional reference files. It places your content in the components and templates that your organization already uses. Read How Spark works for more information on this topic. |
| Can Spark edit an existing page? | No, Spark only creates new pages. |
| Does Spark publish the page it creates? | No. Spark creates the page as a standard asset in the asset tree with the Under Construction status. Review the page, then change its status to make it available to your visitors. Read Review a page that Spark created for more information on this topic. |
| How long does Spark take to build a page? |
Spark builds most pages within a few minutes. Pages with a lot of content or several reference files can take longer. You can close the panel while the page builds and return later. |
| Can I close the panel while Spark builds my page? |
Yes. Spark builds the page in the background. When you reopen the panel, it shows the progress or the finished page. |
| What can I upload as a reference? |
You can add up to five files. Spark accepts DOCX, PDF, TXT, RTF, PNG, JPG, and JPEG files. Read Add reference files to a brief for more information on this topic. |
| Can Spark copy the layout of an existing page? | Yes. Upload a screenshot or mockup, select Add note, and choose Inspiration to use it as a layout and style guide, or Replicate to follow it as closely as possible. Spark still builds the page from your own components. Read Add reference files to a brief for more information on this topic. |
| Why does the page contain placeholder content? |
Spark builds the page from the material you provide. When your brief and files do not include something the page layout needs, such as an image, the page can contain a placeholder. Review the Adjustments & recommendations section when the build finishes, then replace placeholders in the Live Content Editor. Read Review a page that Spark created for more information on this topic. |
