Favourite and follow key people and content
Overview
'Favouriting' and 'following' are key ways you can keep on top of what’s happening in your organisation. This section of the guide provides general information on 'favouriting' and 'following' people and content within Squiz Workplace.
You can:
-
follow colleagues and receive updates of their comments in your My Collaboration feed within the What’s happening section of your homepage,
-
follow communities and receive updates through your My Communities feed within the What’s happening section of your homepage,
-
favourite relevant content for quick access (where this facility is available).
With colleagues and communities, you are able to both 'follow' and 'favourite' them.
Example/s
Favouriting
Across Squiz Workplace, wherever you see the 'Favourite' (grey star) button, you are able to favourite the content. 'Favouriting' a content page automatically creates a link to the page from the Quick Links - Favourites section of your homepage. The favourite link details will also be recorded in you Favourites manager page, accessible via the My favourites link in your User avatar menu.
You are also able to 'un-favourite' content.
Following
Across Squiz Workplace, wherever you see the 'Following' (grey plus) button, you are able to follow that person/community. 'Following' a person or a community allows you to get updates via your social feeds on the homepage. You can also see which people and communities you are following via your Staff profile page.
You are also able to 'un-follow' content.
