Search
Searching
Site search is available from the header on all pages and from the welcome bar on the homepage.
Advanced search
For an overview of how to perform advanced searches using different query operators, please refer to our Funnelback Query language help documentation. It lists the available query types and gives a link to an example results page for each one.
Search results page
Whenever you conduct a keyword search, you will always be directed to the 'Search results' page.
You can filter the results by content type and date and also sort the results according to relevancy or date.
Clicking on one of the results will take you to that content.
Searching from the header
You can search from the header of every page within Squiz Workplace. Here’s how it works:
-
Click on the 'Search' (magnifying glass) button within the header. This will cause the search bar to slide out.
-
Type in a query.
-
Option 1:
-
If the dropdown search console appears with suggestions for keywords, staff or documents, you can click on a suggested option. Doing this will take you to the content page for the option you clicked.
-
-
Option 2:
-
If you don’t want to be taken directly to a content page, or what you’re looking for didn’t appear in the dropdown search console, just press 'Enter' or 'Return' on your keyboard. Doing this will provide you with any matching search results on the 'Search results' page.

Filter your search results
Once you have conducted a search for your query, you can filter the search results. Default settings of Squiz Workplace allow you to filter the search results by:
-
Date (when the content was published e.g. 'Past week', 'Past fortnight' etc.)
-
Content type (e.g. 'Web pages', 'News' etc.).
To filter your search results:
-
Locate the 'Filter' section of the 'Search results' page (left-hand-side of the page).
-
Click on a filter accordion to expand it (e.g. 'Content type').
-
Click one of the checkboxes inside the accordion to select a filter to apply (e.g. 'Web pages').
-
The directory will filter out any of the search results that don’t apply to your selection.
-
You can repeat steps three (3) to (5) if you want to add additional filters.
-
To restore your original search results list, remove the filters.
Sort your search results
If you would like to sort your search results, you can use the 'Sort by' functionality. By default, Squiz Workplace allows you to sort the search results by:
-
Relevance (to you search query).

Date ascending (oldest to most recently published).
