Manage an agent

Open the agent in the DXP Console to change its configuration, make it available to your website implementation, or remove it.

1. Sign in to the DXP Console.
2. Open Conversations Agents.
3. Select the agent you want to change.
4. Click Edit.
5. Update the configuration or connected topics.
6. Click Save.
7. Test the agent again after saving.

Changes to Answer Guidelines affect how the agent writes answers. 

Changes to connected topics affect what the agent can answer.

Make and test one type of change at a time when troubleshooting an unexpected response:

Enable the agent when it is ready to be used by your website implementation. A disabled agent cannot serve answers to visitors.

You can test the configuration before enabling an agent. Do not enable an agent until its connected topics, default response, answer guidelines, and test results have been reviewed.

1. Open Conversations Agents.
2. Select the agent you want to remove.
3. Choose the delete action and confirm the prompt.

Deleting an agent removes it from the DXP Organization and prevents implementations that use it from serving that agent. Make sure you no longer need the agent before confirming.

• Test the agent.
• Implement the agent on your website.
• Review and maintain the agent.
