Create an A/B test

There are three ways to create a new A/B test.

Create an A/B test from your page builder screen

A/B testing can only be set up from page builder content blocks used in a Content page asset.

  1. Navigate to the page where you wish to run your A/B testing.

  2. Create or connect an A/B test to the content blocks that you wish to perform A/B testing on. See: Connect an A/B test to your page

Create a new A/B test from within the DXP Optimization service

  1. Select the Optimization service from the DXP home screen.

  2. Click on the A/B testing card to open the A/B testing management screen.

  3. Click the Create A/B test button, or select the Builder item from the navigation menu.

  4. This will open the A/B test builder screen.

  5. Enter a name into the basic information section then click the save button at the bottom of the page to create the test.

Create a new A/B test by duplicating another A/B test

  1. Select the Optimization service from the DXP home screen.

  2. Click on the A/B testing card to open the A/B testing management screen.

  3. Select the A/B test that you wish to duplicate.

  4. Click the …​ button and choose the duplicate option.

  5. Enter a name into the basic information section then click the save button at the bottom of the page to create the test.
