Search packages (meta collections)
A search package is required for every search that is configured within Funnelback. A search package bundles together:
A search package is similar to a meta collection from older versions of Funnelback
It is recommended that you create at least one data source before setting up a search package.
Creating a search package involves the following high-level steps:
Create a new search package from the administration interface.
Select the data sources that you wish to include in your search.
Create a results page to enable users to search your combined data sources.
Log in to the admin dashboard.
Click the add a new search package button.
Define a name for the search package.
Select the data sources from the list of available data sources presented in the drop down menu.
Review the choices you have made then click finish to create the search package.
Search results are displayed using a results page, which must be set up before any user can run a search against your search package.
You can define many results pages for a search package.
A results page is similar to a frontend service, or service-enabled profile from older versions of Funnelback.
